Completing the labs

There are 5 labs in each semester. Each of the labs should be successfully completed. At the beginning of each lab there is an entrance test which consists of 10 questions. Five questions ask about the lab manual while another 5 ask about standard data. No fraction of a point can be given for the tests.

The status of a lab can be (1) successfully completed lab, (2) not accepted lab, or (3) missed lab.
  • The lab is successfully completed when the student actively participates the lab, the instructor does not notice serous deficiency in theoretical knowledge, and the entrance test has at least 7 good answers. A 6 point test can be re-written before the day of the next lab (or before the make up lab in case of the last lab). A re-written test should have at least 7 good answers.
  • A lab is not accepted if the student shows up on the lab, but for any reason it can not be considered as a successfully completed lab.
  • A lab is missed when the student does not show up or leaves early without permission.

A test with 8 to 10 points gives a point to the points collected during the semester. No point is given for the retake tests.
